The Duroc is the world's premier terminal sire breed — recognised by its red-to-golden-brown coat and outstanding muscularity. Renowned for explosive growth, exceptional feed efficiency, and unmatched intramuscular fat (marbling), the Duroc defines premium pork quality. Duroc-sired progeny consistently reach market weight faster, with superior FCR and dressing percentage, driving down cost per kilogram of quality pork produced.
Duroc sires crossed onto LW or Landrace sows produce commercial pigs reaching market weight in 140–160 days. High IMF content commands price premiums. One boar services 20–25 sows, making genetic upgrade cost per piglet minimal and ROI extremely strong.
The world's most widely distributed pig breed and the backbone of commercial swine production globally. Large White sows are outstanding mothers — producing large, uniform litters, nursing with abundant milk, and consistently weaning heavy piglets. As a paternal line, Large White boars pass on excellent length, muscling, and growth rate.
Large White sows deliver more piglets per sow per year than virtually any other pure breed, directly lowering production costs. The Landrace × Large White F1 gilt anchors the most profitable commercial systems in Nigeria.
The undisputed lean-meat champion of the swine world. BAJ Royal Farm maintains stress-negative (NN) Pietrain lines — eliminating halothane sensitivity and delivering maximum lean yield without meat quality penalties. Used exclusively as a terminal sire to stamp exceptional muscle volume onto all progeny.
Pietrain-sired pigs produce the highest carcass value per animal. Growing urban demand for lean, low-fat pork means Pietrain crosses command significant price premiums in Nigerian markets.
The quintessential maternal breed. Landrace sows are celebrated for prolific farrowing, abundant milk, exceptional mothering instinct, and the lowest pre-weaning mortality of any breed. As an F1 dam crossed with Large White, Landrace produces the most productive commercial sow in the industry.
Landrace sows produce the heaviest, most uniform litters at weaning. The Landrace × Large White F1 gilt delivers more pigs per sow per year than either pure breed alone.
A premium commercial dam line developed through decades of intensive genetic selection for maximum reproductive output and outstanding piglet vitality. A composite of Camborough-type genetics, the CG36 sow is engineered for high total born, exceptional born alive, and superior pre-weaning survival — typically producing 14–16 live piglets per litter under optimal conditions.
The CG36 delivers more piglets per sow per year than virtually any other commercial dam line. For a 50-sow unit, this means 400–500 more pigs per year without additional land or infrastructure investment.
CG36 Offsprings capture maximum heterosis — the proven performance boost that F1 crossbred animals exhibit over pure-breed parents. Every CG36 Offspring is individually tagged from birth with complete parentage records and growth measurements — fully traceable and ready for commercial production in Nigerian conditions.
CG36 Offsprings are the most commercially ready animals from BAJ Royal Farm — fully traceable, genetically superior, and proven in Nigerian conditions. Full parentage records increase resale value for buyers building their own traceable herds.
BAJ Royal Farm's Hybrid programme combines world-class breeds in structured three-way or four-way crosses designed to capture maximum heterosis across every production trait. Hybrids combine the reproductive superiority of elite maternal lines with the growth rate and carcass excellence of terminal sires — delivering the best possible outcome on every dimension of commercial pork production.
Hybrids deliver the highest return on genetic investment in Nigerian swine production. Maximum heterosis combined with superior growth, lean yield, and reproductive performance delivers measurable competitive advantage in every production cycle.

Wondering when your sow will farrow (give birth)? Enter the date she was bred or mated and this free tool estimates her due date and the key preparation milestones. A pig's gestation is about 114 days — easy to remember as “3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days.” This calculator uses only the date you type in; it does not show any farm records.
The expected delivery date is simply the breeding date plus 114 days. Individual sows can farrow a little earlier or later — the normal range is about 112 to 116 days — so treat the date as a guide and watch for signs of nesting, restlessness and milk as it approaches. For anything unusual, consult your veterinarian.
Free calculators for any pig keeper — estimate weight without a scale, work out daily growth, and compare your own pigs. Everything here runs in your own browser; nothing you type is saved to the farm's records, and these tools do not show any farm data. Looking for due dates? Try the Farrowing Calculator.
Wrap a tape around the chest just behind the front legs (heart girth). Add body length (base of ears to base of tail) for the best accuracy, or leave it blank to use the girth-only Kansas State formula.
Log a few weigh-ins for one pig over time and see its average daily gain. Entries stay on this page only.
Add each pig with its start and end weight and the number of days between, and the tool ranks them from fastest to slowest growing.
